A Knowledge Community of Scholars

This knowledge community of scholars focuses on the use of technologies in education and aims to explore new theoretical approaches and share best practices, both in schools and universities. The members of this knowledge community include researchers, policy makers, public administrators, practitioners, and other professionals of education. Scholars meet in person every year thanks to the international Congress and formal communication keeps alive thanks to the associated collection of scholarly journals.

International Congress

The International Congress on Technologies in Education is highly international and multicultural with members from all over the world. The Congress began in Chicago, USA, in 2008, then moved to major cities such as Vancouver, Boston, and Madrid. This event is a place for the formal exchange of best practices and ideas and welcomes young researchers, postdocs, and graduate students, as well as leading scholars. Those who can not attend the Congress may submit a manuscript for review and possible publication in the scholarly journal of the community.

The Journal Collection

By participating in the International Congress of Technologies in Education, members have the option to publish in the associated journal, which, unlike many traditional publications, is not hierarchical and conceives peer review from a constructive and integrative perspective. The International Education and Learning Review provide a framework for peer review based on a double anonymous evaluation (double-blind model), allowing authors to publish in an academic journal with the highest quality standards.
